Alexandra R. Marshall began collecting photographs in 1977. She had a terrific eye informed by great intelligence, a passion for beauty, a delightful sense of humor, and her experience as a fashion model. Her collecting focused on several interconnected themes, including torsos, corsets, mannequins, women and romance.
